Flexible working, especially when working from home, has given us more opportunity to bring in a furry member of the family. Cafes, bars and pubs have realised that our pets are now part of our entourage and that this demographic needs to be catered for. So how does this translate in the world of renting and buying? Many arguments don’t hold nowadays, such as noisy pets being left alone all day and messy pets ruining a property’s aesthetic.

Most pet owners are caring, considerate, and a surprise for some, scrupulously clean and tidy, especially when it comes to their pets toilet activities. The benefits far outway the negatives. Our pets make us feel better, put things in perspective, and bring out a more playful side to our character.

So come on freeholders, leaseholders and landlords, give the furry ones a whirl. They don’t bite! Well, sometimes they do...
